The contents are the quizzes using Java applets for learners of Japanese to train themselves for hearing spoken sentences, words, syllables, special morae and accent. Let's try to examine your hearing level for Japanese speech uttered by a professional announcer.

  1. If you take an interest to Japanese, please access a tutorial page of "Introduction to Japanese for Nihongo Learning".
  2. If you can not execute Java applet, please setup Java environment. But on the occasion of after setup, please wait once at the time of startup about one minute for Java preparation.
  3. If you can not display Japanese characters, please access the pages of the Japanese Roman character version, or please download free Japanese fonts from a multi-language site.
  4. And if you take interest to this system, please read the details of the system in Japanese.
  5. For high quality speech, please use external speakers or head phones.
  6. The numbers of items for dictation level are shown in a next table.
    If you click the number in the table, you can start to lesson. But in the case, a mode of language is set to English and that of display is set to default.
